Excerpt from the Book.....

 

Portsmouth, England

A stab of light reflecting off hot metal struck his eye, already wet with tears. Julian drove for the narrowing gap as the truck swung dangerously into the centre lane. It was a desperate gamble, but, half blinded by the light, he stood little chance. His left bumper clipped the truck’s tail light, flinging the car into a spin with a shrill whine. Amidst flying sparks that shot across the motorway, it struck the central reservation barrier nose with such force that it rose on end, and for a a moment, it seemed to pivot there horribly like a doomed vessel about to dive; and then it crashed on to its back, and seconds later exploded ina balloon of flame. Julian was killed instantly.
